What Project Rescue gives you

A real result for a sample request. Costs are estimates only, not a quote.

“Old 12×16 deck off the back door. Boards are soft and a few joists look rotted near the house. Fix or replace?”

Ground-level wood deck, attached to the house

Rot at the house side usually means water is getting behind the ledger board. Replacing boards alone would hide the problem.

Rebuild the frame with new flashing at the house. Reuse sound footings only after you confirm they are solid and below your local frost line.
