How AI Project Rescue works

When a backyard project leaves you asking “Where do I start?”, share what you see. AI Rescue organizes the problem into the measurements, materials, estimated cost, and steps you need next.

Included with active DIY Pro and Contractor subscriptions.

What to expect in four steps

  1. 01

    Show us the project

Take up to four photos and describe what is damaged, unfinished, or confusing. Picking a project category is optional.

  2. 02

    Confirm the essentials

AI Rescue identifies the job, then asks only for measurements it cannot safely determine from a photo—such as fence length or deck size.

  3. 03

    The calculator checks the numbers

For supported projects, DIY-Blueprint-Pro’s existing calculators produce the quantities and estimated cost. The AI does not invent the math.

  4. 04

    Review your rescue plan

You receive a diagnosis, materials, tools, estimated time, difficulty, warnings, step-by-step work, and details to verify before buying.

What you receive

A useful starting plan, not a black box

  • A plain-English diagnosis of the project or problem
  • A list of measurements and assumptions to double-check
  • Materials, tools, estimated cost, time, and difficulty
  • A numbered sequence of practical next steps
  • Warnings and permit guidance to verify locally
  • An independent review that flags discrepancies without changing your numbers

Before you build or buy

AI Rescue provides estimates only, never a quote, engineering approval, or a permit ruling. Confirm measurements, current store prices, underground utilities, property lines, structural details, and local requirements before starting work.
